Résumé:
The potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is the most demanded vegetable on the market, its
production requires intensive cultivation methods. Our work focuses on the reactions of the
plant to two doses of water (50% and 100% of the retention capacity of our soil). The effect
of water stress on certain morphological and physiological characteristics of the potato crop
of the Désirée variety such as the number of leaves, the height of the stem and the length of
the roots, as well as the monitoring of physiological parameters (water content total, the
relative leaf water content, the chlorophyll rate made it possible to record the influence of the
lack of water. The 50% irrigation dose had a negative effect on the morpho-physiological
parameters of the potato.
