This study includes a rainfall survey at four stations (Elbayadh, Jelfa, Naama and Ain Sefra)
for the period (2000-2021). To clarify this question, it is important to first analyze the term
precipitation. We will answer some basic questions that haunt you, such as: What is the
amount of precipitation in our region as seen from space? Has it decreased over the past
decade? In this perspective, we contribute to the study of precipitation by statistical
processing and analysis of the drought index. I am the. Looking at the monthly averages, we
can see that there is a seasonal lag from month to month. The season can be described as early
because it no longer corresponds to the fixed Mediterranean climatic criteria. It mixes
different seasons (winter, spring, autumn, summer). The calculation of different indices allows
us to say that we are dealing with an irregular climate with two main seasons. The fluctuation
range of precipitation is very wide. Extremes can be reached at any time of the year. Both wet
and dry conditions can reach very high severity levels.
