Résumé:
This research on the effect of the methodology of FOS on understanding and producing a narrative describing the morphological phenomena of fertilization in the French language (L2), aims to study the impact of the proofreading / hearing aid explaining the scientific lexicon in French, on the comprehension and recall among freshmen biology Algerian university context. These learners have difficulty understanding and production of texts, knowing that in their previous education (high school) teaching of science subjects were taught in Arabic (L1), that is to say they feel a lack of language skills on the world evoked by the texts. In addition, the methodology recommended by teachers in the science stream has a general target of this teaching. As part of this experiment, an explanatory text was proposed to the participants (four groups combined) in two different teaching approaches (traditional vs FOS), which have analyzed a number of proposals improved product among participants the second approach. The results, qualitatively, demonstrated that the FOS approach could address the needs of these learners, also based on the major contribution of data from the cognitive approach as a theoretical basis as part of a integrated didactic. All data in this research allow to learn and contribute to the renewal of the teaching / learning of French in multilingual context.
