L’influence de l’âge et la race sur la Fertilité du Deuxième Cycle Post-Partum Chez la Jument

Abstract

The postpartum is the period between the farrowing and the return of the uterine and ovarian environment to a situation compatible with the maintain in a new pregnancy. Our study focused on the postpartum second cycle performance evaluation. Westudied 70 mares purebred Arabian and French saddle in terms of follicular dynamics, conception, ovulation, and interval foaling first protrusion, diameter of follicular near ovulatory fertility rate and embryonic mortality, and abortion rate. This study shows that Fertility is acceptable and itispreferable to takeadvantage of the second postpartum heat in the mares and young mares under 15 years to maintain the intervalfoaling_foaling 12 months
