dc.description.abstractThis study aims to present the struggles of American women they have faced based on their gender and race, starting with the history of white and African American women in America, and the various arguments and theories that society patriarchal created for the oppression of women, also. the suffering of African American women during slavery and after abolition. This book examines the different movements that women have founded for their liberation and to gain their rights as American citizens, also show the role of black women and their contributions in several movements to guarantee and protect their rights as members of the community. This work also sheds light on the differences between the white and black women's rights movement and their goals.en_US
