dc.description.abstractVocabulary is one of the most important aspects to develop the students’ speaking skills, which helps them express and communicate effectively. The present study aims at investigating the crucial role of vocabulary in improving the learners’ speaking performance. It also aims at exploring the relation between speaking and vocabulary and how this latter can contribute in improving one’s speaking skill. This dissertation is divided into three chapters; the first chapter is literature review which is as well divided into two sections; one about speaking skill and its relation to vocabulary and another section devoted to vocabulary. The second chapter represents the partical part of this research that was undertaken using two questionnaires as data collection tools. Both eachers’ and learners’questionnaires are designed to have insights about their views on the important of vocabulary in enhancing learners’ speaking skills. The results show that vocabulary is very important in improving students’ speaking skills and helps them to develop their communication. The last chapter includes the interpretation of results and some suggestions for both teachers and learners about development speaking skill through vocabulary.en_US
