Caractéristiques et rôle des espèces ligneuses dans les systèmes agro-forestiers (SAF) en Algérie. Etude de cas : wilaya de Relizane

Abstract

This work aims to study the characteristics and the role of ligneous species in the agroforestry systems in Algeria. The study area is Relizane which is situated in the west of Algeria. The approach methodology is based on a survey in the field, in a field nearby an agricultural community in Relizane. According to the obtained results, we conclude that most of farmers consider agroforestry as a production system having agro-environnemental qualities but in which profitability and efficiency have to be demonstrated. The ligneous tree in particular is not perceived as an important financial ressourse. Financial and technical supports as well as sensibilization efforts have to accompany its development to insure planning success in high level.
