This research is mainly concerned with the issue of Agnosticism and Existentialism and how the two concepts are clearly seen in the poetry of Hardy, especially the two poems that will be analyzed as case studies (the Impercipient1898, God’s funeral 1910).The impercipient poem shows Thomas hardy’s lack of faith highlighting with that on the great impact of the revolutionary theory of Darwin (the Origin of Species 1859), which helped a lot in shaking the religious beliefs of Hardy as person. However, God’s funeral demonstrates the absence of the religious part in hardy’s view point with a further existential vision according to what is surrounds.en_US
