Our present research entitled "Influence of stress on heart rate, blood pressure and on the performance sports of basketball players" was conducted in order to know the reactions of stress and its effects on heart rate and blood pressure and show the relationship between these effects and sports performance. In the first part, we tried to define the concept of stress from the theories proposed by researchers, then we presented the physiological models of stress and we also discussed the stress in sport and its relation with sports performance. In the second part, we wanted to show the physiological effects of stress on sports performance, by implementing the following tests: the SCAT test, a shoot test, measuring heart rate and blood pressure. The research was conducted on 60 senior male players of the west regional division of Basketball; they were divided into three (03) groups: bit stressed, moderately stressed and highly stressed in order to know the group who will realize the best performance. By analyzing the test results we confirmed that when stress level is decreased the heart rate and blood pressure will be optimal for the competition, in result the player will achieve good performances.en_US
