This study relates to the Embrittlement by Hydrogen (FPH), under cathodic loading and at ambient temperature, of a stainless steel, like on the comprehension of the physical mechanisms of embrittlement associated. Initially, this work was centered on general information on tribology, techniques of deposit of the coating and the bibliographical study of the phenomena of adsorption, absorption, diffusion and trapping of hydrogen in steels. In the second place, the cementing of steels, namely, the goal, principle, mode of cementing and the process of cementing used for our study.Mechanisms of hydrogen loading of steel and Procedure of loading out of hydrogen used. Lastly, the effect of hydrogen and its concentration in the coating anti wear and the effect of hardness on the sensitivity of steels to hydrogen embrittlement, were studied with the test facilities of wear at an ambient temperature. This work showed that the loss of mass increases with the growth of the concentration of hydrogen in steel, and this result is valid for various hardnesses used, and the sensitivity of steel to hydrogen embrittlement increases with the increase in hardness, and this result valid for various times of loading out of hydrogen.en_US
