dc.description.abstractThe present study is n attempt to deal with the social classes of the British society during the Victorian age, taking the novel “Hard Times “of Charles Dickens as an example.Hard Times reflects the life of citizens and give the differences between the three social classes in that period; The upper, the middle and the lower classes. This study attempts to make a comparison between the realities of Victorian society with the realities that Charles Dickens described in Hard Times .This project is divided into three chapters .The first chapter presents a literature review of the Victorian society. The second chapter identify the Victorian literature and Charles Dickens’s Hard Times. The third and last chapter examines the novel by analyzing of social classes Distinctions.en_US
