dc.description.abstract Intra-mammary infections or mastitis are major multifactorial diseases of dairy cattle farms in Algeria and in the world. Mastitis is the first dominant pathological in these farms, before reproductive disorders and lameness. Controlling intramammary infections is a key issue for breeders. Fighting against this pathology thus requires knowledge of the bacteria in question and their epidemiology. The present study focused on determining methods for detecting mastitis to limit their influence on milk production. The results obtained show the presence of coagulase negative Staphylococcus, which appears to be the major etiological agent of clinical and subclinical mastitis, which shows the predominance of the mammary reservoir. To prevent these infections, breeders must control and prevent, especially subclinical mastitis. To do this, the early detection of subclinical mastitis is initiated by the CMT or by the isolation and characterization of pathogens. en_US
