dc.description.abstract Fusarium sp. is a very ubiquitous fungus of terrestrial origin, which presents a very high genetic and ecological diversity and has the capacity to cause diseases on many cultivated plant species of economic interest. This work deals with the evaluation of the antifungal activity of essential oils of two aromatic plants against the fungus Fusarium sp. These are a Lamiaceae (Rosmarinus sp.) from the region of Mostaganem and a Myrtaceae (Myrtus sp.) from the region of Chlef. This activity was evaluated by the direct contact method on the PDA medium. The results of the test show that the synergy of the essential oils of rosemary and myrtle causes an inhibition of the mycelial growth of Fusarium sp. superior to that obtained following the use of these oils individually. The experiments conducted indicate that the essential oils of Rosmarinus sp. (HE1), Myrtus sp. (HE2) and their combination (HE1+ HE2) have an average inhibitory effect that does is 55% for the highest dose (D1=0.1%). en_US
