In Algeria, phytotherapy has always been used in the traditional medicine sector.
The species described in our work is Atriplex halimus.L which belongs to the chenopodiaceae family. This species known under the name of (Guettaf) is widely answered in southern Algeria.
An in vivo study was carried out in wistar rats in order to experimentally evaluate the healing activity of a cream based on the aqueous extract of Atriplex called*ATRI PLUS*.the animals were divided into four groups and each group contains five rats, open wounds of 2cm diameter were created on the back of the animal. All the products were applied topically in the form of ointments. The test was started on the day of the creation of the wounds until the healing of all the rats of all the groups during 21 days.
In our work, the phytochemical analysis of the aqueous extract from the aerial part Atriplex
halimus.L revealed the presence of these chemical compounds: Flavonoids, saponosides,
coumarins, tanins, mucilages ,proteins, and, free and combined anthraquinones.
Our results show that the percentage inhibition of wounds treated with *ATRI PLUS*
cream is highly significant.
Analysis of histological sections of the skin of rats treated with Atriplex halimus cream revealed a reconstitution of the organization of the skin structure.
It emerges from this work that the Atriplex halimus.L is a product effectively interesting and rich in therapeutic possibilities. |
