The present work is an ethnobotanical study which aims to define the place of phytotherapy in the treatment of Covid-19 in the population of the Mostaganem region,the survey is carried out using a questionnaire intended for 50 people (sex-ratio = 1) over the age of 20, regardless of their profession, family situation and level of education, this study has made it possible to establish citrus fruits that could be used as a curative or preventive in the fight against Covid-19 and which could serve as a database for subsequent research in the field of phytotherapy against Covid-19,the results of this study showed that women use plants more than men (65% versus 35%),the results also show that barks and peelings are the most used part with a percentage of 46.3%,medicinal plants are used much more by married people (70.83%) than by single people (29.17%),the vast majority of users of medicinal plants have the average level, with a percentage of 28.33%,the use of medicinal plants in the Mostaganem region is widespread among all age groups, with a predominance among people aged 40 to 50 (30.83%),the majority of the remedies are prepared in the form of infusion, decoction with respectively 60.35%; 25.15%,This ethnobotanical survey reveals that lemon peels are used for therapeutic purposes against covid 19 in the study region. |
