At the final stage of the evolution of chronic renal insufficiency , the kidney is no longer able to eliminate toxins, a replacement treatment is necessary to overcome the dysfunction of the kidneys :dialysis.
The mineral-bone disordes associated with CRI is very common in hemodialysis patients. The present study aims to evaluate the phosphocalcium status of patients with chronic renal insufficiency and on dialysis in order to contribute to better management of this condition from the assays of serum calcium , phosphormia , 25-OH vit D ,parathyroid hormone (PTH) , blood ionogram in 30 hemodialysis patients aged 20 to 85 years .The results of this study were characterized by the female predominance (56.6 %) than men (43 %), disruptions of phosphcalcium metabolism were marked by secondary hyperparathyroidism was observed in all our hemodialysis patients due to factors present hyperphosphatemia observed on average (57.30 mg/l) , hypocalcemie (75.16 mg/l) , vitamin D insufficiency or deficiency on average (25.76 ng/ml) , intrinsic alteration of the
Parathyroid glands, which increases the secretion of PTH .Despite the quality of purification and the effectiveness of the treatment , It also leads to the most frequent
Hydroelectrolytic alterations in hemodialysis patients are hyperkalemia and hyponatremia. |
