This study evaluated the effects of anticancer treatments on renal and hepatic functions in 70 female breast cancer patients. The patients were divided into four age groups: 20-30 years, 31-40 years, 41-50 years, and 50 years and older.
The creatinine levels showed a notable increase in women aged 20 to 30, rising from 6.008 before treatment to 7.944 after session 6. In contrast, women aged 31 to 40 saw a reduction from 8.01 to 5.574 after treatment.
Hepatic enzymes also varied. ALT levels in women aged 20 to 30 decreased from 39.533 before treatment to 16.333 in session 3, before rising again to 47.461 in session 6. For women aged 31 to 40, ALT levels increased from 31.548 before treatment to 40.594 in session 6.
PAL levels showed significant increases, particularly for women aged 20 to 30, rising from 141.889 before treatment to 278.222 in session 3. Women aged 50 and older saw their PAL levels increase from 101.65 before treatment to 235.604 in session 6.
GGT levels also showed variations. For women aged 20 to 30, GGT levels rose from 77.6 before treatment to 118.8 in session 5. Women aged 31 to 40 saw their GGT levels increase from 48.706 before treatment to 245.417 in session 6.
Regarding bilirubin, women aged 50 and older showed elevated levels before treatment (5.041), which dropped to 2.402 in session 5 before rising again.
Albumin levels also showed significant variations. Women aged 20 to 30 saw their albumin levels rise from 11.54 in session 1 to 30.25 in session 6. Women aged 31 to 40 showed an increase from 3.028 in session 2 to 40.594 in session 6.
These results indicate significant effects of anticancer treatments on renal and hepatic functions, necessitating careful monitoring and management strategies to improve the quality of life for patients. |
