Diabetes is one of the non-communicable diseases, linked to lifestyle, just after menopause, which is increasingly characterized by sedentary lifestyle. This diabetes constitutes a major public health problem in all countries, in terms of its frequency, lethality and socio-economic impact.
The objective of our study is to assess some biochemical parameters (glucose, HbA1c, CT, TG, urea and creatinine) and hematologic (leukocytes, red blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, VGM, CCMH, and platelets regarding blood numbering.), and evaluate their influence on the emergence and development of type 2diabetes. For this, a study was conducted in the region of Mostaganem, in two
populations, a healthy control population (n=20), and a population with a type 2 diabetes (n=20)
recruited in the polyclinic Hamoudi Abd Elkader of Achâacha from the region of Mostaganem.
Our results showed an alterations in hematological and biochemical parameters. In fact, urea, creatinine, uric acid, total cholesterol, and triglycerides were increased in diabetic patients compared to controls, , and also leukocytes, red blood cells, hemoglobin, hematocrit, VGM, CCMH, and platelets regarding blood numbering were increased.
In conclusion, our results suggest that type 2 daibetes is associated with changes in hematological and biochemical parameters. The test is also important to avoid the risk of diabetes as a result of the consumption of foods high in calories, especially foods high in carbohydrates and fats. |
