dc.description.abstract Coagulase-negative staphylococci have long been regard as devoid of pathogenicity and as simple contaminants of defective specimens. Today they are opportunistic bacteria potentially pathogenic. On the basis of several scientific works on the nutritional, medical and pharmaceutical interest of Moringa oleifera,we investigated the antibacterial activity of extracts obtained from the plant Moringa oleifera (fresh juice extract, infusion extract, decoction extract, ethyl acetate extract, butanolic extract and ethanolic extract) against ten clinical isolates of SCN. According to our results, it appears that the tested extracts of the M. oleifera plant showed variable antibacterial properties against the tested SCN isolates. We noticed a high activity for ethyl acetate extract and medium for butanolic extract, decoction and infusion extract but low for ethanolic extract. The minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values recorded by the extracts studied vary from 12,5% to 25% (v/v) for the fresh juice extract, from 0,23mg/ml to 0,93mg/ml and from 6,25mg/ml to 50mg/ml for the ethyl acetate and butanol fractions respectively and from 3,12% to 12,5% for the infusion extract. en_US
