dc.description.abstract |
Aloe vera also called aloes, is a plant native to North Africa. It is a perennial known since antiquity. Aloe vera has several medicinal properties. It is considered a depolluting plant. Thus, it is in view of our study considered as an antioxidant and antiradical plant.
This work is a contribution to the study of the total polyphenol and flavonoid content of a plant extract of the Mazagran (Mostaganem) region and to evaluate the antioxidant activity by the DPPH method, the total phenols have was determined by the Folin-Ciocalteau reagent method and flavonoids by the aluminum chloride method.
The results of this work have allowed us to state that the antioxidant activity of Aloe vera is essentially the phenolic compounds.
The extract gives a great activity approach of vitamin C following the method of free radicals DPPH |
