dc.description.abstract Several research studies have focused on the essential oils extracted from aromatic plants. The different results published indicate that they are endowed with several biological properties. In this context, we tried to evaluate in vitro antibacterial activity of essential oils of Artemisia herba alba L. and Pistacia lentiscus The extraction was performed by steam distillation, the yield was close to 0.53% for Artemisia herba alba and 0.157% for Pistacia lentiscus L. And according to the results obtained from the essential method of discs that the oil can be concluded Pistacia lentiscus L exerted a strong antibacterial activity against bacteria studied (the diameter of the inhibition zone was 26,40mm to E .coli, 24,60mm for Morganella morganii, 23,54mm to 15,32mm for Staphylococcus aureus and Citrobacter brakii) compared with essential oils de Artemisia herba alba (11,79mm for brakii Citrobacter, Morganella morganii to 11,63mm, 10,48mm for E.coli and 9,68mm for Staphylococcus aureus). en_US
