dc.description.abstract The present study aims to investigate the importance of the two components fluency and accuracy within writing skill that mainly belongs to the field of teaching English as foreign language (EFL). In this context, many EFL learners are failing to represent their ideas and unable to convey messages and information effectively, briefly they are struggling to produce a fluent and accurate writing. Thus, this research intends to find out the main reasons that decrease learner’s writing fluency and accuracy in which three research questions and three hypotheses are pointed in this study after it is confirmed the need of fluency and accuracy on learners through testing them by writing essays. In order to deal with this issue and to test the suggested hypotheses and to collect a reliable data as well, a questionnaire is used as a scientific procedure for gathering information; it is directed to both the third year LMD students and teachers of Written Expression module at Abed El-Hamid IBEN BADIS university of Mostaganem. As result to this study the findings revealed that the majority of learners are not familiar with the terms writing fluency and accuracy, it is also uncovered that the lack of reading and practicing in writing as well as learner’s ignorance and uninterested in addition to the negative use of technology considered as the main reasons for decreasing writing fluency and accuracy. Moreover, studies in writing suggest some techniques to improve the two powers such as journal writing and creating blogs as well as teacher’s feedback and error corrections as an effective ways. en_US
