Abstract
Foreign direct investment (FDI) is considered one of the most important sources of external financing relied upon by countries to achieve economic development. It contributes to attracting capital, transferring technology, and bringing in managerial expertise, which in turn enhances the competitiveness of the national economy. In this context, Algeria has adopted an economic liberalization policy and has worked to create an attractive investment climate to draw foreign investors into various sectors, with the aim of diversifying income sources and reducing dependency on the hydrocarbons sector. The tourism sector is regarded as one of the most strategic alternatives in this regard, due to its vast potential to become a significant economic driver and a source of job creation and added value. Accordingly, Algeria seeks, through encouraging foreign direct investment, to develop the tourism sector and improve its infrastructure and service quality, enabling it to effectively contribute to sustainable development and support the national economy. This positions tourism investment as one of the most promising industries of the current century
