Abstract

Reproduction is an essential function for the sustainability of breeding, in a dairy herd, reproductive efficiency is directly affected on economic performance, the control of reproduction in the dairy cow requires the control of its sexual cycle. Modern bovine reproduction relies on artificial insemination, but this technique requires rigorous cow cycle control to avoid failure and seed waste. This study was conducted in the wilaya of Tiaret on 15 cows, it aims to use precision methods in dairy farming namely electronic identification of cows, ultrasound as a means of monitoring and controlling gestation and finally the implementation of an application that facilitates and organizes the work of inseminators to improve and facilitate their work. In breeding, the goal of precision breeding is to improve the efficiency and productivity of reproductive processes. It includes heat synchronization and the use of artificial insemination. Heat synchronization involves managing the reproductive cycle of females so that ovulation takes place at a specific time, which facilitates mating management. This method uses hormones to induce and regulate the oestrus cycles. On the other hand, artificial insemination makes it possible to fertilize females with selected semen, often of high genetic quality, without needing the physical presence of the male. In collaboration, these approaches improve conception rates, promote more effective birth planning, and improve herd genetic quality.
