Nowadays, genomics has become essential in the study of any living organism. So, DNA extraction, of good quality and quantity, is of utmost importance. The aim of this work is to isolate DNA from sheep blood in an effort to avoid the limitations of sophisticated equipment and hazardous chemicals (phenol). Thus, we collected sheep blood in the abattoir of Sidi Lakhdar in tubes containing anticoagulant. (EDTA) To extract DNA, we performed the following steps: lysis of red blood cells, lysis of white blood cells, digestion by proteolytic enzymes and SDS, Salting out and finally DNA precipitation. A cluster of nucleic acids was obtained only in the case of (Pronase E) and the concentration of these acids was estimated at 16.35 μg / ml.en_US
