Abstract

For effective irrigation management, it is essential to fully understand water requirements and their alignment with available resources. In Sidi Bel Abbès, we chose to use the CROPWAT 8.0 software. After collecting baseline climatic data over a 15-year period (2010-2024), we modeled and measured the reference evapotranspiration and evaluated the irrigation water requirements for bean crops. The integration of these data into the CROPWAT 8.0 software allowed the generation of irrigation schedules faithfully reflecting crop water requirements, based on soil, climate, and plant characteristics.
