In recent years considerable progress has been made in order to guarantee maximum safety transfused. However, a residual risk remains, that of contracting a viral disease by transfusion and that, despite donor selection measures. The risk arises when the donor is seroconversion phase, a period when biological markers of viral pathology are undetectable by the usual methods of serological diagnostics The results show that out of a population of 96 hemodialysis recipients percentages were: HIV0%; HBs25% .HCV.6%. TPHA .33% for men compared to HIV0%; HBs75% .HCV.67%. TPHA.3% in women. Nevertheless, these results indicate that the study population was infected with syphilis (4%), HCV (19%), HBs (4%) and HIV (0%). Have an efficient health system for screening for disease transmissible by blood is a good thing, the organization of this system to a preventive struggle and psychological support to patients regardless of the test results, without forgetting that the latter must be individualized because there is no standard method that would be suitable in all situations.en_US
