Abstract

Abstract Research Title: The Effect of a Blended Physical Training Program on Improving Maximal Oxygen Uptake (VO₂max) in Under-18 Football Players This study aimed to investigate the effect of a blended physical training program on improving maximal oxygen uptake (VO₂max) in under-18 football players. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher adopted an experimental method using a pre-test/post-test design with an experimental group and a control group. The research sample consisted of 20 football players selected through purposive sampling. The participants were equally divided into two groups: an experimental group and a control group, with 10 players in each group. Field data were collected using the 20-meter Shuttle Run Test. After statistically analyzing, presenting, and discussing the data, the findings revealed statistically significant differences between the pre-test and post-test mean scores of the experimental group in maximal oxygen uptake (VO₂max), in favor of the post-test after implementing the blended physical training program. The results also indicated statistically significant differences between the experimental and control groups in improving VO₂max, favoring the experimental group following the implementation of the blended physical training program. The study recommends conducting further research on the effects of blended physical training in developing other physiological characteristics that were not addressed in the present study.
