Diabetes is a chronic disease that results in abnormal elevation of blood glucose levels; there are three main types of diabetes; we distinguish: type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes and gestational diabetes. Several antidiabetic treatments have been found in modern medicine, synthetics treatments, insulin being the most important since it promotes the entry of blood glucose into the target tissues, and natural, of which honey is one of the most important. The objective of this study is to evaluate the antidiabetic effect of natural honey treatment in vivo for 01 months in group 1 and 02 months in group 2. The rats of the experiment benefited from a daily treatment of honey solutions of jujube of dose of 10% and 15% orally during 01 months for the 1st group, and 02 months for the 2nd group, then the rats have Streptozotocin (STZ) (60mg / kg) was made diabetic by a single intraperitoneal (IP) dose. Before the onset of diabetes, glycemic stability was observed in all test rats. Furthermore, after the induction of diabetes, there was a remarkable difference in diabetic rats (D) in terms of blood glucose level, weight change, water and food consumption, and pancreatic tissue impairment compared with control rats (T), however honey treatment showed better results, significant decrease in blood glucose levels in rats receiving the 15% dose, pancreatic tissue in better condition, compared to diabetic rats and this in both groups 1 and 2.en_US
