The present study aims to evaluate the antimicrobial potential of the ethanoic extract of Algerian propolis specific to two divergent regions in climate and floral heritage, by subjecting to its action a selection of three bacterial strains namely Escherichia Coli, Staphylococcus Aureus and Bacillus Cereus, as well as the Candida Albicans fungal strain; propolis was extracted using 70% ethanol, two methods of antibiogram both solid and liquid were used. The antimicrobial activity was evaluated in equivalence with the diameters of inhibition zones measured in mm for agar diffusion, and by measuring the spectrophotometric absorbance of the microbial load for the tube method, after incubation at 37 ° C. during 24h for the various bacteria and at 32 ° C for 48h for the fungal strain. Significant differences were observed between the two PEFs as well as the sensitivity of the various strains tested; one of the two PEFs proved to be the most effective.en_US
