Some insects represent an original and relevant biological model. They are flying auxiliaries that combat aphids on important crops. They are found in almost all terrestrial environments, both in the larval and adult stages. Among these insects are those that are useful in agriculture, particularly in biological control. Most species are aphidophagous, feeding on aphids. However, in their adult stage, species like hoverflies are pollinators (feeding on nectar and pollen). Thus, insect populations can help regulate pest populations in fields and complement existing control methods. This interest in the use of insects for biological control led us to study the entomological fauna of two different sites (citrus orchard and weeds). This study was conducted at the Mazagran experimental farm (Abdelhamid Benbadis University). Traps were installed at both selected sites. Between March and July 2024, during five months of trapping, we were able to identify species using keys and determine species in the laboratory. The results from the five months of trapping revealed a total of 1,152 individuals, including 6 orders and 25 families.en_US
