dc.description.abstractBoth nutrition and sport are the performance determinant elements for an athlete. The present study consists of a retrospective survey, which aim to explore and evaluate the eating practices adopted by sportspeople from the wilaya of Mostaganem and certain cities in northern Algeria. For this, 96 athletes were interviewed through a detailed questionnaire which highlights their food intake, the composition and frequency of their meals, the frequency and type of their physical activity. As well as their nutritional knowledge regarding their sports activities. The obtained results show that 94% of athletes have good nutritional knowledge, and that 82% of those interviewed adopt good eating practices to achieve their goals as much as sports and that the latter positively influence their state of health.en_US
