Activité antioxydante des feuilles de l’olivier Olea europea L. subsp europaea var. sylvestris

Abstract

Olea europea , it is a perennial plant known since antiquity. Olea europea has several medicinal properties. It is considered a depolluting plant. Thus, it is within sight of our study considered as an antioxidant plant. The objective of this work is to evaluate the antioxidant activity of méthanol water extract of Olea europea, harvested in March 2020 at the level of oued rhiou (wilaya of Relizane)., Using the free radical DPPH. The results indicate a yield of crude extract is (36.75%). Furthermore, is characterized by a high level of total polyphenols (89.41 μg EA / mg of extract), a low content of flavonoids of (66.06 μg EQ / mg of extract). The results of this work have enabled us to affirm that the antioxidant activity of Olea europea essentially reverts to phenolic compounds.
