Grafting plays a significant and important role in the production of watermelon, the multiplication and improvement of all in species especially vegetables, In this process, it consists of associating the underground part (the squash) and the aerial part ( the watermelon). For the success of this experiment, the operation of the grafting is carried out on the farm of Sirat (Mostaganem) while using the Japanese method, in this test, the squash is chosen as rootstock. As for the griffon, it is the variety of the watermelon "Gray Bell, El Ghali". First-generation F1 watermelons grafted on first-generation F1 squash plants (powerful roots). This method is considered a defense tool for diseases (especially fusarium). To clarify our approach, the results show that grafted plants are more resistant to root diseases caused by soil fungi compared to climate changes such as temperature and humidity.en_US
