Impacts des systèmes agroforestiers sur la fertilité des terres agricoles dans les piémonts Nord-Ouest du Dahra (W. Mostaganem)

Abstract

All the problems related to conventional agriculture are indicative in search of durable solutions. In this context, a comparative study between four cropping systems (SAF, SA, SCA, SJ) was conducted in the foothills zone of Dahramostaganémois. To study the impacts of each system on physicochemical properties and soil fertility, soil samples were taken from plots. The results show that the variability of organic matter seems to be influenced by the position, the type of soil and the type of cropping system. By increasing the organic matter content, these combinations improve the structural stability of soils and at the same time the biological activity in the rhizosphere. The statistical approach (ANOVA) allowed us to highlight the importance of relationships between trees in general and agroforestry systems in particular with soil fertility. Thus, agroforestry associating on the same plots a mixed vocation of annual agricultural production and long-term deferred production by trees, offers new perspectives for a different, productive and environmentally friendly agriculture.
