Thyroid cancers are rare and account for 1% of malignancies. Women are more frequently affected than men (sex ratio 3/1). Thyroid cancer can occur at any age, although it is common after the age of 30 and significantly more aggressive in the elderly. The objective of our work is to study the different histological types of thyroid cancers in Western Algeria, their frequencies and clinical features. The retrospective study is based on the analysis of the anatomopathological reports at the level of EPH Ernesto Che guivara anatomy laboratory of Mostaganem and at the level of CHU d'Usto d'Oran, over a period of 5 years (January 1, 2015 to March 31, 2020). Among endocrine cancers, thyroid cancer is the most common, most often represented by papillary cancer as most patients are affected by this type of cancer, followed by vesicular cancer, both are follicular stem cell cancers and the rarest thyroid cancers are medullary cancer and undifferentiated or anaplasic cancer. The retrospective study was performed on 35 cases represented by papillary cancer 71.42% and vesicular cancer 11.43%, the age group most affected by this disease is 45-55 years, women are more affected than men, the tumor size pT1 is the most common with 40% of patients, this stage known by the tumor of minus 02 cm and the majority of tumors are bilobular.en_US
