Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) is a phytohormone belonging to the auxin family and plays a crucial role in plant growth and development. This study aimed to isolate and select rhizosphere bacteria capable of producing IAA. A total of 157 bacterial isolates were obtained from 12 rhizospheric soil samples, of which 90 were identified as IAA producers. Following the evaluation of their IAA-producing capacity, isolate HM13 was selected as the most efficient. The results highlight the potential of IAA-producing rhizosphere bacteria as plant growth-promoting agents and emphasize their promising application in the development of biofertilizers for sustainable agriculture.
