dc.description.abstractColorectal cancer is the third most common cancer in men in the world after lung and prostate cancer and the second in women after breast cancer, its incidence is increasing every year. It is a disease involving several genetic, hormonal, environmental, but also behavioral factors, namely nutrition. The objective of this work aims to assess the relationships between all the nutritional factors, physical activity, the environment, and the risk of colon cancer in a population of women before and after chemotherapy in the wilaya of Mostaganem. This study includes an assessment of the characteristics of the study population, socioeconomic status, nutritional aspects and physical activity. The results of the questionnaire show nutritional disturbances such as insufficient consumption of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, fiber, increased fat intake and sugary products. As well as reduced intake of vitamin d, vitamin C and B12 as well as iron after chemotherapy Women with colon cancer have average to low economic status and level of education and with less physical activity. A moderate lifestyle and a balanced, healthy diet can help reduce the risk of cancer.en_US
