Pollution of the soil ecosystem has now become one of the concerns of major ecological problems. This work aims to evaluate the accumulation of cadmium (Cd) and pesticides and their combinations in the organs of young tomato plants (Solanum lycopersicum L.). Their effects were evaluated on growth and photosynthetic pigments (chlorophyll a, b, total and carotenoids), stress markers (malondialdehyde and hydrogen peroxide), non-enzymatic activities involved in the antioxidant system including proline, flavonoids, polyphenols, and secondary metabolites, and protein content. A morphometric evaluation was carried out. Seedlings previously grown on a hydroponic medium treated with an agronomic dose of pesticide and a dose of 100 μM CdCl2 for 10 days. The results show that stress has a significant effect on the length and weight of the aerial parts, a reduction in chlorophyll content, a generation of hydrogen peroxide, a decrease in flavonoid and polyphenol levels, an increase in secondary metabolites and protein content.en_US
