dc.description.abstractNowadays, the health and nutritional status of university students occupy a priority position with many developing countries, International and Non-Governmental Organizations. Because a dietary imbalance seriously compromises their studies. Good health starts with good nutrition. For adults, these two terms are of capital importance, while the consumption of snacks outside the home has increased considerably in recent decades and has taken an important place in the diet of university students, such as chips. Fried potato chips are popular among students between meals; It can be consumed with soft drinks as they can improve the taste of salt. Cross-sectional survey was carried out on 104 students aged 18-25 years. Our work aims to study the place of potato chip consumption among university students. Our study addresses the problems posed by the consumption of chips. The results obtained from our survey show that the majority of adults favor fried chips, which poses the problem of obesity. Not forgetting the harmful effect of processing when cooking chips such as the loss of nutritional quality which causes the production of acrylamide which is considered a carcinogen.en_US
