Abstract

This dissertation explores the problem of the instability of the architecture department of Mostaganem;whichundergoesfrequentmovesharmingthequalityofteachingandthewell-being of students. Facedwiththisobservation; the proposedprojectaims to create a permanent and modern architectural extension on the site of the University of I.T.A; based on a strategy of integration in a historical and heritagecontext.

Architectural thinkingisorganizedaroundverticalization; in response to the saturation of the horizontal extension of the site. The objective is to design a height extension that respects the existingbuiltheritagewhileintroducingaclearcontemporaryidentity.Theprojectintegratesthe principlesofabatement;architecturalstyleinheritsfromthecolonialera;whileconfrontingthemwith modern choicessuch as contrast;continuity; or eventransparency Anin-depthfeasibilitystudywascarriedout;relatingto: Thestructuralcapacityofexistingbuildingstosupportanincreaseinheight;Technicalreinforcementsolutions; Theuseof lightweightmaterialssuch as wood;aluminumorsteel; Thetypology ofmetal constructions(posts;beam;bracing;cladding;etc.). Thearchitecturalprojectthusoffers asustainablesolution;functionalandsymbolic;respondent Totheneedsofadepartmentseekingstability andidentity;throughaverticalmetalarchitecture adaptedto the constraintsof the site. Ce mémoire explore la problématique de l’instabilité de département d’architecture de Mostaganem ; qui subit des déménagements fréquents nuisant à la qualité de l’enseignement et au bien-être des étudiants. Face à ce constat; le projet propose vise la création d’une extension architecturale permanente et moderene sur le site de l’université de I.T.A ; en s’appuyant sur une stratégie d’intégration dans un contexte historique et patrimonial.

La réflexion architecturale s’organise autour de la verticalisation; en réponse a la saturation de l’extension horizontale du site. L’objectif est de concevoir une extension en hauteur qui respecte le patrimoine bâti existant tout en introduisant une identité contemporaine claire. Le projet intègre les principes de larabaisance; style architectural hérite de l’époque coloniale; tout en les confrontant avec des choix modernes tels que le contraste ; la continuité ; ou encore la transparence Uneétude defaisabilitéapprofondie a été menée;portant sur :

Leprojetarchitecturalproposeainsiunesolutiondurable ;fonctionnelleetsymbolique;répondant Aux besoins d’un département en quête de stabilité et identité; à travers une architecture métallique vertical adaptée aux contraintes du site.
