Abstract

Financial markets have become a prominent place in the contemporary global economy, through their support for economic growth. this study aims through the problematic posed about the support of financial markets for economic development, which has been proven in the theoretical aspect, where it was found that there is a strong relationship between the extent The development of the financial market and the level of economic development. It was also concluded that the Algerian financial market or the Algerian Stock Exchange is characterized, in addition to its recent inception, by narrowness and lack of efficiency in general, which led to a negative impact on the general economic situation, as it was unable to achieve the expected goal of supporting the wheel of the national economy.
