Abstract

Hépatites C is an infectious disease caused by a virus (HCV) That attacks the liver and causes an inflammation and ends with cirrhosis. Hepatitis C virus is transmitted mainly through blood and the use of contaminated equipment. The disease can also be transmitted from an affected mother to her child. Sexual transmission is exceptional. It is a public health problem worldwide, and Algeria remains an intermediate endemic country. Serological diagnosis was carried out using two methods commonly used in the medical field. ELISA is one of the most reliably used techniques of serological immunology in the detection of viral particles in very small quantities.
