Abstract

Professional compatibility and its relation to perceived self-reliance in a sample of school and professional guidance counsellors in the wilaya of Mostaganem Abstract: The present study aimed to reveal the relationship between professional compatibility and perceived self-efficacy among a sample of school and professional guidance counsellors in the wilaya of Mostaganem; using the descriptive approach ,and the application of two tools modified by the researcher after calculating their psychometric properties ,namely : the level of professional Compability , and a measure of perceived self-efficacy on a sample of fity – five (55) counselors and counselors at the school and vocational unification center in Mostaganem , and to analyze the results of the study ,a statistical analysis package (SPSS-20). The most prominent results include that both the level of compatibility and the level of self competence recognized were high in the sample of research, with no statistically significant differences in the level of professional compatibility according to the sex variable, educational stage and educational level. While there are statistically significant differences depending on the level mentioned, due to the variable in professional experience between two categories (less than 5 years and more than 10 years) and (5 to 10 years and over 10 years).,with no There are no statistically significant differences in the level of self-competence recognized by four-sex variables, educational phase, educational level and professional experience. The professional compatibility of the research sample can therefore be predicted through their self-aware competence, with a positive correlation between professional compatibility and self-efficacy that they are aware of. In the light of the above-mentioned conclusions, a set of recommendations and proposals was made.
