The olive tree occupies a very important place in the national agricultural economy. However, its development remains confronted with problems of production of quality seedlings. The commercial multiplication of the olive tree in the world, and particularly in the Mediterranean region is made mainly by semi-ligneous cuttings under mist-system Nevertheless, the rhizogenic capacity remains the character that shows a high variability in the olive tree. The aim of this work is to study the efficacy of the form and the concentration of hormone on the induction of rhizogenesis in greenhouse under mist-system on semi-ligneous cuttings of 4 Algerian varieties of olive tree: Cornicabra, Sigoise, Sevillane and Chemlal, recognized as difficult to cut. To do this, cuttings were used according to their genotype. The results obtained show that for hormones it’s the 4000 ppm treatment associated with the Cornicabra variety which gives the best rooting percentages 21.11%. This result is confirmed for the 4 varieties studied in this work and which have all shown a considerable improvement in rooting.en_US
