Abstract

In order to determine and study the impact of delivery routes on the maturity of newborns, it is essential to carry out biological examinations which make it possible to determine the cause of neonatal prematurity as well as the delivery methods. The objective is to follow the variations of the biological parameters in women in preterm delivery by vaginal route and by cesarean section and in the three categories of hospitalized preterm newborns to determine whether women in preterm delivery by vaginal route have the same biological parameters as women in preterm deliveries by caesarean section, as well as whether the three categories of premature newborns have the same metabolic disorders, and whether they can survive. This present work is carried out from the data collected to carry out this present work is carried out on women who deliver vaginally from their hospital records in the postpartum department, as well as women who deliver vaginally from their records in post-operative service and hospital records. Thus, the data relating to this study are collected from the neonatology unit with regard to premature newborns. The results of the study made it possible to elucidate certain metabolic or nonmetabolic disorders such as, CRP is high indicates the presence of an infection in pregnant women, and hemoglobin and hematocrit is lower signify the presence of anemia. Other parameters such as high blood pressure in women who deliver vaginally. In premature newborns, they present metabolic disorders because of the immaturity of their organs; such as hypocalcemia, some have hypoglycemia, hyper bilirubinemia which reflects neonatal jaundice, high CRP value means the presence of an infection, prolonged hemostasis, low platelet count means thrombocytopenia. As well as non-metabolic disorders such as respiratory distress due to the immaturity of the lungs, the three categories of newborns can survive depending on the degree of the disturbances present, more than the maturity of the organs and the survival is proportiona l to the age of the newborns.
