ETUDE DES PERFORMANCES DE REPRODUCTION CHEZ LES BOVINS LAITIERS REGION DE MOSTAGANEM

Abstract

Our work was carried out in 15 cattle farms in the wilaya of Mostaganem, including a total of 119 dairy cows, over a period of 2 months, between April 15, 2018 and June 14, 2018, to study and evaluate fertility and fecundity parameters. The data collected on the breeding behavior of dairy cows, and the breeding results of these farms were processed by Microsoft Office Excel 2007, for the calculation of means and standard deviation. The reproductive parameters studied, show poor fecundity results with an average V-V interval exceeding 365 days in 60% of farms, only 26.66% of farms that have a V- IA1 in the standards, In addition the average V- IAF interval exceeding the target of 90 days in 86.66% of farms and deterioration in fertility on all farms. This work brings a finding of a management problem within the herds which leads to considerable economic losses for these farms
