dc.description.abstractThis study was conducted at the farm of Mr DOUBI BOUNOUA Djilali in the plains of the common Ain Nouissy wilaya de Mostaganem, the study is based on the characterization of the coat color in cattle by principle of exammination of the profile of adult animals and their offspring. With a phenotypic profiling on total of 120 head of cattle whose tow races (80 Holstein, 40 montbéliarde). The results revealed by the genotypic frequencies calculated as (Holstein « 61% black pie », « 39%red pie» and Montbeliarde it is 100% « red pie» and allelic Holsein (allele ED =0.61, e=0.39 allele and the allele e Montbeliarde =100% and the inheritance of color between parent and offspring is found that the effects of ED allele completely mask thebeffects of the allele e The results revealed that coat color is a qualitative influenced by small number of genes. it has no great economic value. But it is a racial characteristic.en_US
