The incidence of pronostic cancer is increasing but the prognosis remains poor. The lack of clearly identified risk factors hinders screening abd early diagnosis (when the disease is still curable). The sole curative treatment is surgical resection, which is feasible in onlay 15 % of patients. The Results show That This cancer affects elderly people (over 55 years), its diagnosis is in the majority of cases late. The study indicates a female predominance with a sex ratio of1.43. The most fréquent symptoms are: abdominal pain and jaundice. The predominant histological type is adenocarcinoma (ADK) with 90% and the most frequently affected part isthe head of the pancreas with 95%. Chemotherapy regimens are being developed in an attempt to prolong the survival of patients who do not quality for surgery.Recent advances include better knowledge and treatment of pré-neoplastic pancreatic lésions such as mucinous Tumors. Basic and translation al researchers are attempting to identify tumoral or circulating antigens that could serve ; as diagnostic markersand/or therapeutic targets.en_US
