| dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this work is to expose fashionable and destructive deviations of twenty-first century American political thought and practices from both Western and American traditions. Accordingly, two major themes will be dealt with immeasurably in this dissertation: The neo-conservatives’ assault on the American past for rhetorical political purposes, and their conviction in their necessary triumph in all parts of the world. This work, then, will provide a considerable emphasis of both America’s relationship to Western tradition and the American ethical conception of virtue. The latter will be also taken into account in discussing political conducts in world-affairs. | en_US |
